Strength is a solid foundation for athletes in any event to achieve excellent results. Many friends have been suffering from archery strength training, weak bow strength, etc. The author has consulted relevant content and summarized the relevant methods of strength training according to relevant literature. First, let's analyze the relevant muscles used in archery.
The main techniques of archery are composed of standing, raising the bow, drawing the bow, aiming, continuing to exert force, and releasing the action links. The order of exerting force is from the center of gravity of the body to the distal end.
The action stage is divided into four stages:
1) Bow raising stage: supported by the static contraction of the deltoid muscle and the trunk and leg muscles respectively.
2) Bow opening stage: completed by the static contraction of the leg, buttocks and trunk muscles, as well as the dynamic contraction of the posterior bundle of the deltoid muscle, the latissimus dorsi and the trapezius muscle;
3) It is the fixed stage: at this stage, all the bow-drawing muscle systems have dynamic contraction converted to static contraction to complete the aiming action.
4) Release stage: mainly completed by the coordination of the superficial flexor and the extensor digitorum communis. It can be considered that the muscle working mode of archery athletes is mainly divided into dynamic strength endurance and static strength endurance. The level of strength endurance depends on the ability of working muscles to consume and supply oxygen, anaerobic metabolism and coordination ability, and is also closely related to the maximum strength. The greater the maximum strength, the more repetitions, and the better the strength endurance. However, don't go to the gym to train the above muscles hard, which may be counterproductive. The poundage of the bow is getting bigger and bigger, but the number of rings is getting lower and lower.
There are important things to say three times:
Archery strength training should practice nerve and muscle coordination ability, not just muscle strength!
