Bow pushing posture

Bow pushing method can be divided into three types.

1. High push method: also known as tiger's mouth push method, which is a bow pushing method centered on the tiger's mouth. High push method

2. Middle push method: a bow pushing method centered on the thenar.

3. Low push method: a bow pushing method centered on the base of the palm. Low push method

The point of force of the bow pusher is extremely important for achieving stable results. Points of force that are too low or too high, too outside or too inside will cause problems. The middle push method is more commonly used now, which is more conducive to the relaxation and stability of the bow pusher.

Before opening the bow, pay attention to relaxing the bow pusher, fit the position of the bow handle well, slightly tighten the bowstring, and place the bow pusher accurately on the bow handle. At this time, the thumb of the bow pusher is relaxed and naturally bent to point to the target. And from the beginning of opening the bow, the position of the bow pusher must not change. Make sure that the force area on the hand is in the same position as the bow handle.

String hooking method

String hooking is done by the index finger, middle finger and ring finger, and the strength distribution is generally 30% for the index finger, 50% for the middle finger, and 20% for the ring finger. The strength of the index finger and the ring finger can vary according to the size of each person's fingers, but the middle finger should bear at least 50% to 60% of the strength.

When hooking the string, the thumb should be naturally bent toward the palm or straight and relaxed, and the little finger should be naturally bent toward the palm or straight against the ring finger.
Before opening the bow, pay attention to check the position of the fingers on the finger pad and place them on the bowstring. The tail of the arrow is between the index finger and the middle finger. Do not squeeze the tail of the arrow to avoid pressing the arrow and tilting the arrow.
