Purpose of choosing perfect materials
Bamboo: Choose three-year-old bamboo, which has been boiled and dried in the shade for one year to make it reach the standard of bow making. In China, bamboo is called the "Four Gentlemen" of flowers together with plum, orchid and chrysanthemum. It has always been praised by the Chinese for its hollow, knotty and upright characteristics, and has become a vivid portrayal of the virtues of modesty, integrity and uprightness advocated by the Chinese. Bamboo makes the bow more stable as a whole. Ibe Rosewood: Produced in Paraguay and Brazil in South America, it is elegantly called "rosewood". It is one of the most dense and precious hardwoods in the world. Natural color difference, unique, strong luster, interlaced texture, dark and light stripes, strong artistic sense, it shows a different style and is different. High corrosion resistance and excellent physical properties make it a superior bow material for bow making.
South American Rosewood: Paraguayan Rosewood, also known as South American Rosewood, scientific name Ironwood. Fine structure, very heavy and hard wood. Medium shrinkage, high strength, lustrous wood, straight or staggered grain. Durable, corrosion-resistant, no cracking. A good choice for bow making. American black walnut: American black walnut is only produced in North America. The heartwood is light brown to brown-black, often with purple cracks and darker stripes. It has good dimensional stability and is rated as a wood with extremely strong heartwood corrosion resistance.
African rosewood: African rosewood is very good and is listed among the 43 species in the first part of dark precious hardwood furniture species. It has the characteristics of high hardness, high density, high oil content and good wear resistance similar to mahogany. Its wood stability is relatively good and can effectively resist wind, rain and sun, especially it is not easy to expand after being damp, which is even better than mahogany. This wood has a strong gloss, the new cut surface has a slight fragrance, no special smell, the texture is slightly staggered, and the structure is relatively uniform. Good drying performance, almost no cracking and deformation; the heartwood is very resistant to decay, and can resist the damage of ants and bark beetles; the preservative impregnation performance is medium, and the processing performance is good.
African red pear: Red pear can be said to be a nearly perfect wood. It is one of the most popular woods among the Chinese people. Its bright red, beautiful color and straight or slight grain have attracted many domestic users with a simple aesthetic feeling. The specifications are long and thick, with a high yield, excellent texture, bright color, high gloss, and fragrance. There are almost no major wood defects on the surface of the logs, and the size is extremely stable after drying.
