How far can the range of ancient bows and arrows reach?

Compared with modern hot weapons, how far can the range of these long-range weapons in ancient times reach?

In ancient China, the concept of maximum range and effective range had long been established. Judging from the bows that had been reduced in the Song Dynasty, the maximum range of the bow was generally around 200 meters and the effective range was within 120 meters.

In other words, the effective firefight between the two sides after they really set off their battle formation is at a distance of 100 meters. Many people take it for granted to think that the range of crossbows within 150 meters or even within 100 meters is short-sized based on the range of modern hot weapons.

In fact, this is not the case. Even if we enter modern warfare, the general firefighting distance of light weapons does not exceed 250 meters, but it only increases the fire density and accuracy. A large number of ancient wars and modern light weapons wars are basically carried out at a distance of about 50 meters or even within 50 meters.
